Al Campbell August 31, 1954 in Kingston, Jamaica began singing in church where his Father was a preacher. In his early career he joined forces with famous reggae music pioneers such as Prince Jammy, Freddy McGregor and Ernest Wilson. During the 1970s he recorded roots reggae songs which all did well. However during the 1980s he was more active on the dancehall scene recording a string of hit songs.
