The Clarendoinians is a Jamaican band that was quite active during the ska and rocksteady era. The original members were Fitzroy “Ernest” Wilson and Peter Austin. Originally from Clarendon, they were in their teenage years when they when under the protégé of Sir Coxone Dodd. It was in 1963 that the seven year old Freddie McGregor joined the group. They went on to become one of the better known groups during that period of time. However they all went solo recording a few hits individually with the exception of Freddie McGregor who has grown into a world superstar.
