Delroy Wilson 1948- March 1995 is a Jamaican music stalwart. His first recording was in 1961 in the ska era and oh yes he was a ska man also. In fact he was only thirteen years old when he started but he seems to be already a seasoned professional. He did a number of chart topping ska recordings but he really took control in late 1960s during the rocksteady era. With songs like “Dancing Mood”, “Rain From The Sky”, “ Conquer Me” and a host of others. In 1994, Delroy Wilson's enduring legacy to Jamaican music was recognized by a special plaque awarded to him by the Jamaican government, and presented by the then Prime Minister, Patterson.
