The Gaylads one of the premier rocksteady groups to have emerged out of Jamaica was on top of the game for about 10 years. From 1963 to 1973 The Gaylads were very influential with their music. However, sadly in the early 1970s the group split an things went down a quite a bit. Base on the success that the Gaylads had during the rocksteady period one can only imagine how good they would have being during the reggae era. Some of the popular recordings include “Africa We Want To Go," "Joy In The Morning"; "Red Rose”,” It’s Hard To “Confess," "Over the Rainbow's End” and "My Jamaican Girl".
