Hopeton Lewis, a rocksteady and reggae singer born October 3 Kingston Jamaica needs no introduction. He began his music career in rocksteady era with great success. Throughout the late 1960s to mid 1970s his impact on the Jamaican music industry was tremendous. His first hit songs was in 1966 with “Take it Easy” which had became the anthem of the day. In 1971 he also won the Jamaican festival competition with “Boom Shaka Lacka”. These days he is turned to Gospel and turning out good quality music with his rich baritone singing voice.
