Terravale Farm has two locations one in Mafoota St James and Argyle Mountain in Westmoreland Jamaica. We have a variety of fruit trees which includes Citrus, mango, lychee, ackee, soursop, coconuts, naseberry and avocado. The farms are small to medium and still in the developmental stages.
At the moment some of the trees on the farm are producing but not in great quantity. We market our produce to local supermarkets in and around the Montego Bay area.
To diversify as best as possible we will venture into beekeeping and sheep raring. Bees are very important because the trees depend on them to aid in the pollination process. Honey also a very lucrative business in Jamaica and it also has a very long shelf life.
Since we do believe in protecting the environment as best as possible we think that raring sheep on the farm is the best form of weed control available. Sheep raring is not only great for weed control but also their droppings will be used to fertilized the trees.
Terravale Estate Farm is in the process of revolutionize the farming landscape in Jamaica blending animals, insects and plants together for the good of all. The trees will provide food for the bees during times of flowing and while subtracting the honey the bees will indiscriminately pollinate the trees. The sheep will control the undergrowth while providing good quality meet. All working well for the good of each other.
