Montego Bay the tourist capital of the island boasts the country’s busiest airport and also a cruise ship port.  Having risen up from a banana boat town to the tourism Mecca of the island, there are many things to do in Montego Bay.

Situated on the northern coast of Jamaica slapped in between the beautiful resort towns of Ocho Rios and Negril, there are certainly many things to do in and around Montego Bay chiefly as a result of its location.

Along the way there is the historic town of Falmouth which has gotten dilapidated over the years but now there is a renewed interest since Royal Caribbean and conjunction with the Government of Jamaica developed the old port now making it into Jamaica’s busiest cruise ship pier.

The Dunn’s River Falls certainly the epitome of Ocho Rios. This majestic waterfall has seen tens of millions of people climbing and enjoying one of the most treasured natural attractions of the Caribbean.

The Blue Hole Secret Falls on the other hand is even more impressive. It’s not only un-imaginary beautiful but it allows, diving, rope swings, cave exploration, swimming and just plain river frolicking.

Visiting the Rose Hall Great House is one of the other things to do in Montego Bay on your sojourn. This famous house was home to the infamous lady named Anne Palmer and according to legend; the spirit of “Annie Palmer” haunts the grounds of the plantation. Annie Palmer was born in Haiti where she spent most of her life learning Voodoo or Witchcraft, she then moved to Jamaica and married John Palmer who she murdered shortly and subsequently two more husbands later along with numerous male slaves.
