The Cables

cables

The Cables are a well known Jamaican rocksteady band led by Keble Drummond was very famous in the late 1960s. Working with Studio one like many others during that era The Cables had great success. The left the recording studio of Coxone Dodd of Studio because of some financial dispute and headed over to Harry J studios. In 1971 they entered The Festival Contest and came second to Eric Donaldson’s Cherry Oh Baby. Unfortunately, at Harry J studio they did not meet the great success they had with Studio One. Keble Drummond went solo afterwards but didn’t manage to find his way back into mainstream.
